- The team confers on the investigation.
-
- Neither Seacourse nor Chernovsky seem like strong suspects anymore.
-
- Mrs. Hawking is convinced Miss Zakharova is hiding something.
-
- Mrs. Hawking is going to go confront Miss Z– TONIGHT.
-
- Mary is afraid Mrs. Hawking wants to make her just like her– but Mary isn’t sure that’s what she wants.
-
- Nathaniel arrives home to find Clara waiting up for him.
-
- Clara can tell he’s keeping something from her.
-
- Nathaniel didn’t realize how shut out she was feeling.
-
- “Will you believe me?” “Haven’t I always?”
-
- Mrs. Hawking infiltrates Miss Zakharova’s hotel room.
-
- Why did Miss Zakharova lie about dancing?
-
- Miss Zakharova is breaking down physically.
-
- Miss Z fears she will lose her stardom after only just achieiving it.
-
- She’s destroying herself for the only thing she’s ever wanted to do.
-
- Mrs. Hawking can understand the fear of being ruined for the most important thing in your life.
-
- Nathaniel tells Clara what he’s been up to.
-
- Clara is furious that he’d take on such risk without consulting her.
-
- Not to mention the fact that he’s being lying to her for two years.
-
- But Nathaniel emphasizes how important what they are doing is.
-
- Mrs. Hawking can’t decide if Miss Zakharova is actually the culprit.
-
- But Clara comes in to confront Mrs. Hawking.
-
- Clara knows everything.
-
- Mrs. Hawking is furious.
-
- Clara will allow Nathaniel to help Mrs. Hawking do good things– but only if she protects him.
-
- Clara is not afraid of Mrs. Hawking.
-
- Clara is a little amazed at just what Mrs. Hawking does.
-
- But Clara has her ways of finding out information as well.
-
- Nathaniel bursts in and is relieved they haven’t killed each other.
-
- Mrs. Hawking decides they need to reconstruct the crime scene.
-
- They clear the room.
-
- They determine Miss Zakharova’s dance partner would have missed her if she weren’t in the pas de deux.
-
- But who was in the wings during the crime?
-
- Who was backstage just before Miss Zakharova?
-
- It was Miss Sherba, the understudy.
-
- Mary confesses to Mrs. Hawking that she wants to do this work, but she needs to do it her way.
-
- They lay a trap to lure Miss Sherba out.
-
- They forged a letter from Justin to draw her to the train station.
-
- Arthur arrives to arrest her.
-
- But she was in a desperate situation and took desperate measures.
-
- Justin is shocked to learn he dallied with a murderer.
-
- Miss Zakharova is furious with Miss Sherba.
-
- They give Miss Z the visa Miss Sergeyeva secured for her.
-
- Miss Zakharova thanks them for their help.
-
- Miss Z must decide what she will do now.
-
- Mary and Mrs. Hawking agree that they’ll each have to work together in their own ways.
